The ratio of the output power of the motor to the volume of the conductive and magnetic conductive material of the motor is called the power density of the motor. The Center for Advanced Electrical Machines & Drives is dedicated to the research of super high power density motors.

The research work mainly includes topology innovation of motor body, theoretical analysis, design and simulation modeling, magnetic field analysis, motor drive and control, etc. The research results are widely used in wind power generation, electric vehicles, high-end CNC machine tools, high-power track traction (such as subway, high-speed rail) and other industries.
